Topaz continues to kick out awesome plugins, and their newest release ReStyle keeps with the recent pattern. Like most Topaz Plugins, us early adopters get a substantial discount which they offer as soon as the software is released. Read on for my take and a few examples, or if you’re already sold, go here to TopazLabs.com and use the code “restyleit” to get 50% off ($59.99 reg, or $29.99 now through August 31st).
Any of you who have read my blog somewhat regularly know that I love and use Topaz plugins. Topaz Labs offerings are realistically priced, and offer unique, quality plugins. They now have a program set up through the end of March which offers 25% off any Topaz plugin or bundle and a 3 month gift code for 500px as well as a 10% discount for current Topaz users for upgrades to a 500px “Awesome” subscription (normally $50/year) which allows users to host and sell their images through their own, modified online portfolio and store hosted by 500px. You can see all the Topaz plugins on offer by heading over the the Topazlabs.com website (click here) USE COUPON CODE “500px” at checkout to get the 25% discount and 3 month 500px gift account. For existing Topaz users looking to upgrade their free 500px account to an Awesome account, use code 10AWTL at 500px.com upgrade page HERE. For those not familiar with 500px, it is a very high quality photo community that enables members to share, and sell images through their own, user modified galleries and portfolio pages. I’ve used the upgrade discount myself from my free account, and have spent a little time now getting to know the ins and outs and it looks promising
Here are a couple past articles outlining and reviewing my favorite Topaz Plugins:
For the next week, Alien Skin is offering 30% off of all their wonderful plugins. I use and love Exposure 4, Snap Art and Bokeh 2 personally and feel that Alien Skin does a wonderful job at providing a really solid product for the money. You can download free trials of any of their plugins before buying if interested by going here Alienskin.com! While you’re there, download their free iPhone app Alt Photo, it’s radical.
You can read more about my personal take on some of their plugins below:
They’ve also just released Eye Candy 7, which is a plugin that is gaining fanfare for graphic designers. Unfortunately, I’m not a good person to ask about it, but it does seem to be getting a lot of praise, so it may be worth a trial for those interested in that type of stuff.
Happy Valentines Day to all, and I hope all is well for everyone.
From right now through November 26th, all Topaz plugins are 50% off!!! Kind of insane actually seeing that so many of them are already so realistically priced.
Click HERE to see the Plugins that Topaz offers (listed at full price) and enter the code “CyberSavings” at checkout to cut the price in half!
Here are some of the plugins that I’ve reviewed:
I also love Adjust and would highly suggest any (or all) the Topaz plugins, especially at 50% off!!!
(*while this is the older promotion, Alien Skin is currently offering a 30-40% off sale on all their software through April 17th, 2012 SEE HERE!)
I’m not the type to promote every discount or product out there (just the ones that I like), but having been fortunate enough to review a couple of the Alien Skin software products recently, I will say that A) they are a cool company with great folks representing them and B) they make a killer product. That and I wanted to pass this along just in case anyone out there reading is interested. I make no money from this and I’m honestly just passing this along because I like the folks involved with, and products offered from Alien Skin.
That’s all really. If you’ve been interested in any of the Alien Skin software and haven’t pulled the trigger, they’re offering 30% off (and free updates/not upgrades mind you) until Tuesday March 15th. If you’re interested in what I’ve had to say about them, you can read my personal experiences via the links below:
I’ve not played around with the others yet, but I’m sure that any Alien Skin product would be worth while as long as it’s particular skill set appealed to you. I would very strongly suggest at least trying out the free trials of both Exposure and Bokeh if you’ve not already to see if the discount rate is enough to push you.
You can download the trials or purchase any of the Alien Skin software directly from their website here: Alienskin.com
Have a great weekend!
Are you ever frustrated by scenes that are too dynamically diverse having to lose your highlight and shadow info to expose for the midtone ultimately losing the shadows to dark noisy areas and blowing out your highlights resulting in detail-less white blotches? I think that I can help. This isn’t the only HDR or Photomatix tutorial on the web, but you’re here, and it’s free. Regardless of how you feel about some of the HDR imagery that can bombard the senses, combined with the proper capture technique HDR software can help achieve, photographically ,the dynamic range that the human eye is capable of seeing. By using this method of combining bracketed exposures, you can save yourself hours of dodging and burning, masking and aligning in Photoshop, with simple HDR software, or you can create your own fantasy cartoonish grunge-scape if that’s what you’re after. I will walk you through step by step instructions regarding the proper capture and postprocessing techniques using the popular HDR software, Photomatix from HDRsoft. I also have a discount code to offer you 15% off (TRP15) if you choose to purchase the software. To follow along, Photomatix is available as a non-expiring full free download (it will just watermark your images) to use and feel out the benefits to this very popular tool in digital photography. Read on for links, techniques and a software discount…
